There are a few towns in New Jersey that have a reputation for corrupt Police Chiefs and Departments. Besides Camden, there’s Hackensack, Newark, Pleasantville and Long Beach Township. They have a long history of municipal corruption dating back 40 years or more.

I’ve heard that the Ocean County Freeholders are another bunch of political scum that are constantly working the system for their own benefit.

I lived in Long Beach Township, NJ in the 80’s and can confirm how corrupt the police administration and department was back then and for many year thereafter. Fortunately, since then many of these bastards have died. May they rot in hell.

      • Many of those dirty old “bastards” in the Long Beach Township Police Administration during the 1980’s and early 90’s were sexual perverts!

They were a filthy lot in Long Beach Township NJ; but then again the politicians controlled them, much like Camden.

          • PAYBACK IS A BITCH

Many of the corrupt cops who worked in the Long Beach Township Police Dept. NJ Administration are now dying off. It’s a wonderful thing to behold! I’ve heard that it is customary to piss on the graves of a dead Police Chief and their family to show your “respect”.

There’s nothing worse than a retired Police Chief.
After years of screwing over the public and members of their Police Department, they retire and bring their dirty asses into the community where they waste away with their bitter memories. Most street cops who work in their departments wish them dead and rejoice in their departure, except of course for their flock of cronies who they hand-picked over the years to cover their dirty deeds. Like old worn out shoes, they are ready for the scrap heap but don’t realize how much they are despised by others. Like many others, when I hear that a Police Chief dies I rejoice as I do when I hear of the death of their spouse, who tolerates and supports this piece of shit. May they rot in hell.

Why doesn’t the State of NJ take over the city of Camden, like it did with Atlantic City? What are they waiting for, the bottom to fall out of Camden; that happened many years ago. Now the politicians are spending money like nobody’s business and wasting it on their own dirty asses and the likes of Chief Thomson. I’m shocked that an investigation has not been opened on this type of corruption, but I guess somebody in Trenton is in on this deal.

  3. I am so surprised that such ignorance still exists in today’s society. But, leave it to a politician to show their true colors and pay off public employees when they know they are doing wrong. What idiots!

Today’s politician is a shameless whore that acts in it’s own best interest. Once elected they begin pimping themselves out to various groups, and begin paying off those they need to fulfill their personal agendas. It’s life in NJ.

The amazing part of this story is the amount of corruption in Camden. It begins with the Mayor and elected officials and permeates throughout anyone who has dealings with the City. The cops are corrupt as can be, and I am shocked that they kept Thomson on in any capacity considering the amount of corruption in Camden PD. I guess they needed a local lackey who they could manipulate. Thank’s Camden County Freeholders, you scum!

President Trump recently called fired FBI Director James Comey crazy, and a “nut job”.

We are now realizing that many Federal, State, County and Local law enforcement agencies are being run by similar quacks. EX-FBI Director Comey will soon be testifying before Congress, and COPFOX believes he will “RAT” on the President as he has done in the past. Honor and Loyalty are no longer cherished traditions in the FBI.

    J. Edgar Hoover would be spinning in his grave knowing Comey was FBI Director!

COPFOX will soon be posting a new article on EX-FBI Director James Comey.

    • The FBI is a shell of it’s former self when J. Edgar Hoover was in charge. It is now a mismash of minorities, bull-dykes, and incompetent misfits. Oh, for the good ole days.

This is a real head-scratcher and I am not buying the excuse that the Camden County Freeholders used to give this Police Chief such a huge raise. Especially considering the poverty and crime in Camden and it’s schools. Camden NJ High School is ranked as one of the worst in NJ, and the elementary schools are struggling. Anyone who has ever been in the Camden Schools can clearly see how delapidated the buildings are and how they lack for just about everything. But I guess the schools don’t really serve any useful purpose for the Freeholders, and cannot cover their asses in the future when they are engaged in nefarious activities.

My advice to the Camden County Freeholders is to get off your asses and walk around Camden and speak to the people who live there. They are disgusted with this Chief and know that your keeping him on as head of the department is a political move that only benefits him and you; not the citizens.

Another recommendation I would make is to fire the Chief and appoint a Police Administrator, who would work for l/4 of what the current Chief is getting. He would probably do a much better job and save the taxpayers alot of money.

      • Great recommendations, but I would also like the new Police Administrator to have some type of advanced degree in either Law or Business, like a JD or MBA. The fact that this Chief has degrees in Criminal Justice and Education does not fit well with any type organizational leadership role.

This reminds me of a case of official corruption in Bell, California; where 8 elected officials and city employees were arrested for paying themselves exorbitant salaries. See full article at:

    • Hopefully, the same punishment will be meted out to the Camden County Freeholders, and Chief of Police.

      • In NJ, I doubt it. There’s far too much public corruption; and the politicians, prosecutors and judges make sure they cover each other tracks.

Crime is on the rise in Camden, especially violent crime such as murder, rape and assaults. Evidently, this fact had no bearing on the raise given to the Chief. He should have had a reduction in salary since Camden is now more dangerous than ever.

It takes alot of brass for any politician associated with Camden to give out raises considering how broke Camden is. One of the reasons they are so broke is the fact that the politicians have taken good care of themselves and their cronies at the expense of the citizens. When will these garbage politicians in NJ get the message and stop the wastefull spending?
