AG SESSIONS AND PRESIDENT TRUMP BOTH NEGLIGENT IN THEIR RECUSALS
Both Attorney General Sessions and President Trump have recused themselves from getting involved with the Russia Investigation. AG Sessions claims that his work on the Trump campaign was justification for his recusal, and Donald Trump states that he is recusing himself because he does not want to interfere with the ongoing probe because it may have unwanted political consequences.
Each of these individuals made the wrong decision to recuse themselves. AG Sessions could have overseen an investigation and kept himself separate from the process quite easily, and President Trump could at any time take the bull by the horns and intercede and fire Special Prosecutor Mueller for gross misconduct in the way he appointed the investigative staff and in their use of tainted evidence in order to justify the investigation initially. Also, this is an investigation in search of a crime, and after so much time and wasted money, there has been no link between President Trump and the Russians.
It’s not too late, President Trump should give Special Prosecutor Mueller a deadline for the conclusion of his investigation and the production of a report. Once that deadline is met and Mueller has not finalized his activities, President Trump should fire him on the spot and damn any repercussions from the Congress. It about time Donald Trump start acting Presidential!
